DSHS Hemp Hearing on Human Consumables

Yesterday, the Department of State Health Service (DSHS) held a hearing for public comment regarding implementation of HB 1325, specifically relating to consumable hemp products. DSHS heard from farmers, laboratories, business owners and advocates for consumer protections.

Currently, DSHS is in an informal process to preemptively look at regulation and standards in preparation for the TDA issuing their regulations. There will be more opportunities for feedback in the future as this process moves forward. We will update you on the next step in this process as they develop.
