Operation Trapped – Statewide ~ NOW – Many veterans in Texas want a safer alternative to harmful prescription medicine, which can lead to addiction to narcotics and an alarming number of overdose deaths every year. If you are like the thousands of Texas veterans who take cannabis to relieve the symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), traumatic brain injury (TBI), chronic pain, or other service-related injuries, you are treated like a criminal in Texas. That is wrong, and your voice should be heard. Texas NORML and Texans for Responsible Marijuana Policy want to send a message to state lawmakers that it’s time for a better option, and you can help. We have launched a one-year project to collect a single used prescription bottle from every state veteran who wants a safer alternative. Learn how to participate in Operation Trapped HERE.

3/15/16 – Traveling Strategy Meeting – Opal Divine Penn Field – Are you interested in meeting with Texas NORML representatives and supporters to have a group discussion and make plans for how we can and WILL change laws in Texas? Then join us at Opal Divine’s Penn Field at 3601 S Congress Ave, Austin, TX 78704. We will discuss strategy, timelines, results from the Primary Election; we will take questions and chat. 3/26/16 – 3rd Annual Puff N Putt Spring Fling – Willie Nelson’s Golf Course – Texas NORML is proud to announce the 3rd Annual Puff-N-Putt Spring Fling. Come and enjoy a day of golf, live music, disc golf, vendors, food, glass blowing and a great day at the legendary Willie Nelson’s Cut-N-Putt Golf Course located in Spicewood, Texas on Saturday, March 26th, 2016. This event is to raise funds for Texas NORML’s mission to gain safe access to cannabis for adults with a focus on supporting Texas Veterans and our fight in the war to re-legalize cannabis. 4/6/16 – April Open Monthly Meeting – Austin ~ 8pm – We hope you’ll join us for the FREE open monthly meeting taking place the FIRST Wednesday of EVERY month, at 8 pm at Flamingo Cantina, 515 East 6th Street, Austin, TX 78701. We’ll have a list of upcoming events that Texas NORML will be involved in, updates on some of our events this past month as well as the latest news from around Texas and the US about cannabis law reform. 4/11/14 – PACT Empowerment Meeting – Capitol Building Room E2.010 – We have reserved the next PACT empowerment meeting for Monday, April 11th, 2016 @ Texas State Capitol – 11a-3pm in Room E2.010. P.A.C.T. is a patient support & empowerment group with the objective of expanding the level of patient outreach, encouraging patient empowerment, and gaining the correct knowledge, etiquette, manner, and discipline, required in changing cannabis laws in Texas! 4/30/16 ~ Austin Muscle Walk in honor of Vincent Lopez – 7:30am in Pflugerville – Team Hope through Cannabis (THC) is participating in the MDA Muscle Walk, which raises funds for Becker’s Muscular Dystrophy, the condition that took Vincent Lopez, Texas NORML Director of Patient Outreach and Founder of Patient Alliance for Cannabis Therapeutics. 5/14/16 – 9th Annual Texas Marijuana March at the Capitol – Austin ~ TBD – SAVE THE DATE! Come participate with Texas NORML in Austin, Texas as we march to the Texas Capitol Building in support of cannabis law reform.
