Texas NORML is concerned that the Department of Public Safety (DPS) has, without notification or explanation, suspended the process one week after it started on October 1st, 2019. The lack of communication regarding the reason for suspension leaves room for conjecture while leaving potential applicants and patients that hope to join the program confused and stressed. Our executive director attended today’s DPS hearing to offer public comment on this suspension and requested a status update that includes responses to her four outlined points.
