Veteran Lobby Day
Medical Cannabis
With our lawmakers meeting for only 140 days every two years, we have a lot of work to do in a short period of time. Your participation is critical to changing laws relating to marijuana in Texas.
Veteran’s Lobby Day is a participatory event where veterans and their loved ones will engage our legislators and their staff. We will focus on our medical marijuana bill, which will bring safe and legal access to seriously ill patients.

Please register so we can ensure adequate space and materials for all participants. All materials will be provided and we’ll start our day with training for those who have never visited with their legislators. You do not need to make any appointments with your legislators as we will be visiting their offices in groups.

Many veterans in Texas want a safer alternative to harmful prescription medicine, which can lead to addiction to narcotics and an alarming number of overdose deaths every year. If you are like the thousands of Texas veterans who take cannabis to relieve the symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), traumatic brain injury (TBI), chronic pain, or other service-related injuries, you are treated like a criminal in Texas. That is wrong, and your voice should be heard.
