Hurricane Harvey Food Drive – Wednesday, September 6th, 2017
Support those affected by Hurricane Harvey!
Due to the conditions on the coast and the devastation post #HurricaneHarvey, we are putting together a food drive at our September Open Monthly Meeting. Drop your donations with us on Wednesday, September 6th from 8-10:30pm at Flamingo Cantina, 515 East 6th Street, Austin, TX 78701.
We will be collecting the following and deliver them to the Central Texas Food Bank:
Food Items:
*any healthy, non-perishable food
Most Requested Items:
*peanut butter
*canned chicken breast or tuna
*canned low sodium vegetables
*canned fruit in its own juice (no sugar added)
*beans
*rice
*non-fat dry milk powder
*100% whole grain cereal
*Squeeze Grape and Strawberry Jelly
*Chunk Light Tuna in water
*Beef stew – can pop topItems Must Be:
*items with intact, un-opened, consumer or commercial packaging
*items with non-breakable packaging (no glass please)
*food within the expiration date on the packaging
*squeezable items and pop top cans, please
Non-Food Items:
*Mouth Wash
*Large or Small Deodorant
*Soap (either bar or liquid)
*Shampoo
*Paper towels
*Paper plates
*Plastic cutlery
*Wet wipe/baby wipe pack
*Ziploc bags
We will also have our regular meeting agenda –
