Due to the public health crisis that Texas is currently experiencing, Governor Abbott has moved the Primary Election Runoff Dates. Now early voting will start on Monday, July 6th, 2020 and Primary Runoff Election day will be on Tuesday, July 14th, 2020. The Primary Runoff Elections are for candidate races where no one received more than 50% of the vote. The two candidates with the highest number of votes face off in the Primary Runoff Election to see who will represent their party on the ballot in November.
Many elected officials and others are also requesting that the Governor institute a vote-by-mail order which they believe will protect Texans safety and voting rights. We will continue to keep you updated as this evolves. We will also soon have our Texas Marijuana Policy Voter Guide updated for the Primary Runoff Election. Stay tuned for more!
