Take Action: Support Veteran Access for Service Connected Disabilities

October 31, 2018 pbezant News

In advance of Veterans Day, we ask that you reach out to your state legislators regarding medical access to cannabis for conditions or disabilities that are often service connected. Texas is surrounded by states that allow access to medical cannabis for the treatment of post traumatic stress disorder. Our state should allow for the same quality care and medical options for veterans living in Texas.

Around 65% of Americans can access medical cannabis, including people in all the states that surround Texas. However, our state law only provides limited access to medical cannabis for less than 1% of Texans.

Our Veterans and fellow Texans deserve safe access to medical cannabis, which has proven therapeutic benefits in the treatment of PTSD, TBI and chronic pain.
