Thanks for your continued support of Texas NORML. Without the support of folks like you, we might not be making so much progress in the way of cannabis reform in Texas.
Currently there are two bills in the Texas Legislature regarding cannabis. HB 902 would reduce the penalty of possession of under one ounce to a class-c misdemeanor, which means up to a $500 fine & no jail time if convicted. HB 164 would give much needed protection to doctors who recommend and seriously ill patients in need of medical cannabis. Today, I urge you to contact your reps on both counts. These bills need attention. If everyone who reads this blog follows the links below and writes the legislature today, these bills will get the attention they deserve. If you have already written your rep, perhaps today would be a good day to follow up with a phone call.
